Relevant Problems of Today - What would יהושע do?  (ISR translation)

1 - Oppression, addiction and slavery.
Mat 16:23  . . . “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to Me, for your thoughts are not those of Elohim, but those of men.”

2 - Fear and dependency.
Exo 20:5-6   . . . do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.
Act19:17  And this became known to all, . . . . And fear fell on them all, and the Name of the Master יהושע was made great.

3 - Hypocrisy.
From - http://www.ushistory.org/documents/pledge.htm:  In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Statement by the President Upon Signing Bill to Include the Words "Under God" in the Pledge to the Flag, 6/14/54:
"Faith is the mightiest force that man has at his command. It impels human beings to greatness in thought and word and deed."
Psa79:1  O Elohim, the gentiles1 have come into Your inheritance; They have defiled Your set-apart Hĕḵal; They turned Yerushalayim into ruins. 1See also vv. 6-7, Ps. 74:1-23, Isa. 63:18, Jer. 51:51, Lam. 1:10, Dan. 8:13, Dan. 11:31, Mt. 24:15.

4 - Unrest and lack of purpose.
Exo20:9-11  “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath1 of יהוה your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart." 1There are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath.
Col2:16  Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths –

5 - Disrespect to the elderly and their historical lessons.
Mat19:17-19  And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Elohim. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.”1 . . . ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’” - 1See Lk. 10:28, John 12:50, Rev. 22:14.

6 - Senseless murder and disregard for human life.
Mat19:17-19  And He said to him, .  . . ‘You shall not murder,’ . . . and ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ”

7 - Unfaithfulness and lack of commitment.
Mat19:17-19  And He said to him, . . . You shall not commit adultery,’ . . .  and ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ”

8 - Cheated and unfulfilled lives.
Mat19:17-19  And He said to him, . . .  ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ . . . and ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ”

9 - Lying, distrust and misrepresentation of facts.
Mat19:17-19  And He said to him, . . . ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ . . .  ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ”

10 - Indebtedness, servitude and economic instability!
Pro_12:12  The wrong shall covet the catch of evil-doers, But the root of the righteous yields fruit.
Rom_7:7  What, then, shall we say? Is the Torah sin? Let it not be! However, I did not know sin except through the Torah. For also the covetousness I knew not if the Torah had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Rom_13:9  For this, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other command, is summed up in this word, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
